Export patient records

1. Open Settings → Export Patient Records.
2. Review the patient and encounter counts.
3. Tap Export Patient Records and keep Maestra in the foreground while PDFs are generated.
4. Save the completed archive from the share sheet or browser download.

Archive layout

The version 3 filename is maestra-export-<user-id>-<YYYY-MM-DD>.zip.

• manifest.json contains version, export time, user ID, and aggregate counts.
• user.json contains exported user metadata and preferences.
• patients/<id>.json contains one patient with contacts, custom form values, effective stage, encounters, transcripts, generated notes, encounter-assistant history, and Patient Assistant history.
• patients/<id>.pdf contains the human-readable patient record.

The export does not include finance ledgers, finance settings, expenses, or reusable generated-note and patient-form template definitions.

Processing boundary

Fetching, decryption, JSON serialization, and final ZIP assembly happen locally. Each included patient PDF is different: the app renders clinical HTML locally, sends that plaintext HTML transiently to the authenticated Maestra relay renderer, and adds the returned PDF to the ZIP. The renderer does not store the clinical payload.

Caution

The completed JSON and PDF files are plaintext. Protect the archive as a clinical record and do not assume account deletion removes copies you saved.
