Enter Encryption Password
What this screen is for
Section titled “What this screen is for”This screen appears when the account is authenticated but the installation has no usable local data key, such as on a new device, a new installation, or after secure storage was cleared. Restarting the app or leaving it inactive does not itself lock an installation that still has valid local key state.
The password travels over an authenticated TLS unlock request for account verification. The wrapped key material comes back to the app, which derives the master key and unwraps the data key locally. Maestra does not store the plaintext encryption password and never receives the unwrapped data key.
Unlock
Section titled “Unlock”- Enter the encryption password.
- Tap Unlock.
- The app unwraps the data key locally and opens the authenticated account.
If the encryption password is unavailable, open Forgot password? and use the recovery flow.
