Save Your Recovery Key

This step follows Create Encryption Password. Save the recovery key before continuing.

• On iOS and Android, use the exposed share, email, or screenshot actions.
• On web, use Copy or Download.

1. Save the key in at least one controlled location.
2. Confirm that the copy is accessible.
3. Continue to finish provisioning and enter Maestra.

Note

An encrypted backup is also stored with the account. On an unlocked installation, Settings → Recovery Key can reveal it again only after encryption-password verification. Maestra cannot read it.
